When I was a kid, I was fascinated with the Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet. In December 1988, my flight on one turned into a sobering experience that reminded me of the value of life and the need to cherish each moment.

When I graduated from high school, I studied journalism in college and began my career as a writer in advertising.
